-

The Argentine government published on Friday (12.07.2019) the documents that resulted from these negotiations after two decades, although the communication from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship clarifies that "it is not a legal text."

"These documents are in the process of legal and institutional review, so they may be subject to modifications.. They will only be binding on the parties once they have been signed and the corresponding internal legal procedures have been completed," said the statement from the San Martín Palace. The documents, with texts in English, begin with the chapter on "Trade in goods" and go on to the topic of "Balance of Payments and Movement of Capital."

All documents can be viewed at:

«It is noted that these texts are published for information purposes only and may be subject to additional modifications as a result of the legal review process thereof, without prejudice to not altering the commitments in the concessions reached in the agreement announced between MERCOSUR and the EU.

It concludes by stating that “the texts will only become final once the Agreement has been signed. The Agreement will be binding on the Parties under international law only after each of them has completed the necessary internal legal procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement (or its provisional application).”
