UPM said it will take 10 days to analyze the results of negotiations on the investment, which includes roads and a rail connection to a port, for what will be the company's second pulp mill in Uruguay.
Finnish pulp and paper maker UPM has concluded months of negotiations with Uruguay over infrastructure improvements for a planned new mill in the eastern country.
"Now the outcome of the negotiations will be analyzed by both parties.", said Jaakko Sarantola, UPM senior vice president for development in Uruguay, in a statement on Wednesday (01.11.2017).
UPM said it will take 10 days to analyze the results of negotiations on the investment, which includes roads and a rail connection to a port, for what will be the company's second pulp mill in Uruguay.
If UPM goes ahead with the project, it will begin a process of pre-engineering studies and permits, expected to last up to two years, followed by an internal investment analysis.
