Argentina and Peru signed eight agreements to strengthen relations in trade, economy, culture and defense, among other areas, announced Presidents Mauricio Macri and Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, meeting in this city.
The two nations signed "eight agreements" that will make it possible "Greater trade between our private sectors, and greater cultural and defense integration", he indicated Macri.
The leaders also pledged to "work together to combat organized crime, especially drug trafficking, which is a nightmare for both peoples."
For their part, the Transport Ministers, who also met this Friday (03.11.2017), will advance on matters of infrastructure and will discuss the possibility of increasing air traffic.
Kuczynski, for his part, expressed his desire to strengthen "the traditional good relations" between both countries, "especially in the cultural and economic fields."
In that last area, "the economic complementarity agreement must be strengthened"that governs between both nations," he said.
To this end, Kuczynski acknowledged, there are several "pending issues that we are going to try to resolve as quickly as possible, including the issue of the strip of Corn prices and the biodiesel issue".
President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski He wished Argentina success in its role as host of the next Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and pledged his country's support for reaffirming the multilateral trading system, based on rules, open and without discrimination.
The Peruvian president also invited President Mauricio Macri to visit Peru during the second half of 2018, according to a statement from the Argentine Foreign Ministry.
