After three days of sessions in Valparaíso, on the occasion of the National Representative Assembly of the National Association of Customs Officials (Anfach), the leaders of the different regions declared as a Invalid interlocutor to the director of the National Customs Service, Claudio Sepúlveda, in his relationship with the union and agreed to request his removal from the government within 30 days. If the request is not accepted, officials will begin a national mobilization in May.
Anfach accuses Sepúlveda of constant persecution of the leaders, of carrying out anti-union practices against the Customs workers and of intimidating and nullifying the legitimate expressions of the associates. They reported that the background of these events was delivered to the Ministry of Finance and the President of the Republic through an official letter dated April 10.
