In a world of constant change, it is necessary to stay up to date, especially when it comes to global business. For this, the Diploma in International Business Management from CAECE University is a very good opportunity.
This diploma course is now in its sixth edition, coordinated by Master Mariano Luna, who, with his experience and that of CAECE University, is a guarantee of quality for the diploma course and in the selection of a professional who is constantly updating his knowledge and experience in the business field.
Starting in April, the Diploma in International Business Management will be offered weekly at the CAECE University headquarters on Avenida de Mayo in the City of Buenos Aires.
We spoke with Mariano Luna, who is also a good chess player, who explains why studying International Business Management could be your best professional move.
Question: What are your short- and long-term goals?
Answer: We could say that our general objective is to transfer international management skills that professionals today need in such a changing and interdependent world.
Our proposal is integrative, that is, it has a multidisciplinary approach. This can be seen in the Diploma program, where we address areas related to Foreign Trade Operations, Logistics, Digital Commerce, External Promotion, Economic Situation, International Contracts, Financing, and two “company days” where the real experience of companies is shown. The experience of the company days is very interesting, because participants can observe everything seen in theory with real cases and complex situations of daily foreign trade.
Question: What are your expectations regarding this new management of the Diploma, now in its 6th Edition?
Answer: The Diploma is already well established. With a greater number of participants in each new edition, increasing the number by 10% every semester. But, additionally, we try to get out of our comfort zone, and we require permanent updating and real-life cases from the teachers. All our teachers are important players in the Argentine foreign trade situation, in their different areas of activity.
Furthermore, my personal expectation is to continue with one of the great goals that I set myself as Director for the Diploma, to achieve a large community of foreign trade professionals who can network, generate debates and deepen business ties.
Question: What institutional support does the Diploma have?
Answer: First of all, it is worth clarifying that the University has the support of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the most important governing bodies in the country. This support is permanent and based on a firm foundation. This means that business culture is embedded in the University.
The Diploma also has the important support of the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, a national entity that promotes Argentine exports.
Question: What would you say is the hallmark of professionals who are trained in the Diploma?
Answer: Within our applications, we are looking for professionals committed to improving and having an active and dynamic role in all modules. We are interested in the profile that is curious, that asks and re-asks, and that believes that they can make a contribution in a completely collaborative classroom environment. You can join
This profile is reinforced by the profile of teachers who have an open attitude and permanent support, even after the formal course, generating a very strong synergy between all the people involved in this educational offer.
For example, we hold breakfast cycles with foreign trade leaders (the last of them with the National Director of Customs) where all former participants of the Diploma have their space guaranteed.
Another fact worth highlighting is that we generate collaborative documents between the participants of each Diploma with the aim of debating and exchanging experiences on the new standards that are appearing in international trade.
It is also worth mentioning that we will begin to explore actions to disseminate papers and research with the support of Aduana News. Without a doubt, its platform will be a great means of disseminating value-added initiatives from students.
In short, it is an excellent offer, focused on business management, with personalized follow-up for the student, and with the assurance that the acquisition of new knowledge by participants does not end with the duration of the course, but rather lasts over time through all the associated activities and initiatives that the University generates.
The conversation leaves no room for doubt, education is a strategic opportunity that can mean the difference between being a good professional or one who also knows how to choose his best move: professional updating.
Aduana News is the first Argentine customs newspaper to launch its digital version. With 20 years of experience, its publications and initiatives aim to provide the most relevant knowledge on customs issues in order to contribute to safe trade in the region.
