The Government incorporated this Thursday (25.08.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) into the national legal system a Mercosur decision regarding dangerous goods, with the aim of establishing the common regulations for the facilitating the development of land transport operations (both by road and rail) of such goods in the region.
The measure was formalized through the Resolution 64 / 2022 of the Secretariat of Transport Management, published today in the Official Gazette.
“Mercosur/CMC/DEC Decision No. 15 dated December 4, 2019 of the Common Market COUNCIL, approving the Agreement for the Facilitation of Land Transport of Dangerous Goods in Mercosur corresponding to the 17th UN Review, Protocolized by the Latin American Integration Association -ALADI-, as a Second Additional Protocol, on the Partial Scope Trade Promotion Agreement -AAP/PC No. 7 on May 18, 2021, is incorporated into the national legal system,” according to the official text.
It should be noted that dangerous goods are any goods that present a risk to human health, the environment or public safety, whether they are found in nature or produced by any process.
