The Government authorized the application of a different rate of the Common External Tariff for goods considered “Information Technology and Telecommunications” (BIT), as well as for the integrated systems that contain them.
This is established by the decree 864 / 18, published this Thursday (26.9.2018) in the Official Gazette.
According to the standard, it is Import tariffs on more than 100 items eliminated linked to computer products and technological goods, in order to reduce the manufacturing costs of various electronic devices and equipment, improving the conditions of competitiveness and productivity and contributing to the increase in productive investment in the sector and its availability in the local market.
Amongst the products that stand out These include mechanical instruments, cylinders, electronic cash registers, magnetic readers, data processing machines, instruments for measuring and detecting radiation, walkie talkies and handie talkies, among others.
La The measure will take effect from Friday (28.9.2018) until December 31, 2021 says the decree signed by President Mauricio Macri, the Chief of Staff, Marcos Peña, and the Ministers of Production and Finance, Dante E. Sicca and Nicolás Dujovne.
