The Asian country recognized the equivalence of the authorization system for Argentine plants exporting bovine, ovine, caprine and avian meat and by-products.

This recognition is the result of several negotiations carried out since 2014, which concluded in May 2017 during a visit by Saudi authorities to our country to verify the validation system for export plants.

During the same, the SFDA had announced that the Senasa provided the necessary guarantees to be recognized as equivalent and have the power to authorize plants that wish to export to the Arab destination., an issue that was reiterated by the competent health authorities of that country during a bilateral meeting held within the framework of the 85th General Session of the OIE.

"This achievement reinforces the great work that we have been carrying out from the Ministry with Senasa to guarantee the quality and safety of Argentine agri-food products, resulting in the opening of new export markets, so important for our regional economies," said the Minister of Agroindustry, Luis Miguel Etchevehere.
