Due to the tropical storms currently affecting the region and which have caused landslides and floods, obstructing the smooth passage of means of transport, including the international highway CA-4 at the height of the community of EL Metal, Cucuyagua, department of Copán, jurisdiction of Honduras, which has made it impossible for means of transport coming from the El Poy Customs and the Agua Caliente Integrated Border Point, located in the department of Ocotepeque.
These Customs administrations have authorized the enabling of the alternative routes: El Amatillo, El Florido Integrated Border Point and Corinto for the entry and exit of means of transport from or to Guatemala and El Salvador, with the aim of avoiding the interruption of international trade and providing ease and agility of imports and exports.
Honduras Customs has coordinated with the Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT) Guatemala to allow the means of transport with nationalized goods and internationalized transits that are in the primary zone of the Agua Caliente Integrated Border Post, to return and enter the country through customs. the flowery, Copán department.
