Staff from the Patagonia Regional Center monitored the supply of raw materials, the storage process, and certification. for the export of merchandise produced and certified by Official Establishment No. 2553 Frigorífico Faimali SA
The agency previously verified the documentary requirements and certification required by Japan, according to the memorandum of understanding agreed between both countries to complete the export.
These cuts of sheep meat are samples with no commercial value in order to evaluate a possible market opening. The merchandise was transported by truck from the city of Río Gallegos to Ezeiza Airport, from where it departed for its final destination.
This action opens the possibility for Patagonian products to reach countries as demanding as Japan and thus expanding potential export markets, said the coordinator of Food Safety and Quality of the Patagonia Regional Center, Eduardo Clapera.
