The measure was published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday (22.10.2024), with the aim of "promoting agile, efficient and effective public management, without compromising customs control or the traceability of import operations."
Until now, the General Resolution No. 701/1999 allowed chambers, federations and associations of the sector to play a role as observers in the physical verification of goods classified under the red channel. In addition, the General Resolution No. 799/1999 It authorized these entities to consult cargo notices in the MALVINA Computer System (SIM).
This procedure required prior coordination, which caused unnecessary delays in the clearance of goods. According to the new regulations, the participation of these entities has been classified as "low participation".
For the above reasons, the elimination of these resolutions comes into effect. effective immediately.
