What is dumping?

Dumping is a practice developed by some companies that export products to a foreign market at a lower price than they charge in their domestic market (price discrimination).

According to World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, when this practice causes significant damage to a national production branch of the importing country, corrective measures (anti-dumping duties) are applied in order to preserve the conditions of competition between national and imported products.
