"We have many points of contact regarding the way we should face the world," said the Argentine head of state, after leading the signing of a series of agreements with Boric. agreements on gender equality, cooperation to guarantee the rights of LGBTIQ+ people, collaboration in consular matters, sites and spaces for memory in Chile and Argentina, and in energy, in addition to a letter of intent in the area of ​​Human Rights.

To its turn, Gabriel boric He said: “I wanted this to be my first state visit because I feel a deep brotherhood with the Argentine people and we must replicate that spirit of cooperation throughout the entire territory,” while reflecting: “Chile is part of Latin America, and although for a long time we were looking in other directions, our base is Latin America and from there we will building community, region, cooperation and internationalism".

"We are coming with a large delegation to be able to deepen the relationship with our brother people of Argentina, because in matters of State, policies have to transcend the rulers in power and the brotherhood between the peoples of Argentina and Chile must go beyond the preferences of one president or another," he stressed.

And he defined: “There are tremendous opportunities for continue investing and developing in economic matters, as well as in the cultural areas in which we will continue to expand the great vocation that exists between both peoples. All these aspects will be confirmed in the joint declaration of this visit."

Boric arrived in Buenos Aires on Sunday. Chile is a strategic partner for Argentina, both because of the land border they share and because of the broad political and economic agenda they develop. From an economic-commercial point of view, Chile is the fifth destination for Argentine exports, with diversified exports and relatively higher added value (MOA and MOI), and the fifth source of foreign direct investment.
