The National Customs Directorate of Paraguay signed this Wednesday (13.07.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Public Health (MSPBS) to facilitate the trade of food, health, and household products, among others, carried out by operators certified by the customs administration.
The agreement aims to commit the ccoordination between the National Institute of Food and Nutrition (INAN) and the Directorate of Sanitary Surveillance (Dinavisa) with the National Directorate of Customs for the application of benefits that allow for streamlining export procedures for products controlled by such institutions.
The benefits will go to the Agents with the Authorized Economic Operator certification (OAS), and which, in turn, comply with the current requirements and regulations established by INAN and Dinavisa.
The AEO certification is granted by Customs to exporters who have demonstrated adequate compliance with obligations and responsibilities, as well as having security standards that guarantee the reliability of processes and operations.
Through this legal instrument, Customs seeks to facilitate trade through inter-institutional agreements for those who meet the requirements.
The cooperation agreement was signed by the Minister of Health, Julio Borba, the Director of Customs, Julio Fernández and the national director of DINAVISA, María Antonieta Gamarra.
Currently, Paraguay has 10 foreign trade operators with this certification, and another 13 in the process of review. (Public Health and Social Welfare Statement)
