New measures on labelling for the import of footwear

The national government has ordered that footwear importers must comply with a labeling standard, specifying the size of the imported product, the agency said. Resolution 316 / 2021

The regulations of the Secretariat of Domestic Trade, published this Friday (09.04.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX), determine that the importation of footwear that is not adapted to this measure will be prohibited. 

In such a way, Importers must comply with the "Proof of Local Market Adaptation Procedure" prior to the entry of the merchandise.

The official text also states that "producers and manufacturers of goods, packagers, those who commission packaging or manufacturing, fractionators and importers, will be responsible for the veracity of the information given on the labels." 

The provisions of this Resolution shall come into force as of April 10, 2021.
