Sonia Cavallo appointed as Argentina's representative to the OAS

The National Government appointed Sonia María del Milagro Cavallo as permanent representative of the Argentine Republic to the Organization of American States (OAS), based in Washington DC, United States of America.

Through the Decree 433 / 202 Published this Wednesday (22.05.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, the corresponding credentials and full powers are issued to him.

The device says: "after the Senate of the Nation had agreed to the designation of Cavallo as ambassador, the Executive Branch appointed her to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, as an official of category 'A' 'in accordance with the provisions of article 5 of the Law of the Foreign Service of the Nation No. 20.957'." 

The decree is signed by the President of the Argentine Republic, Javier Milei, and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diana Mondino.

Sonia Cavallo holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of San Andrés, Argentina, and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, United States. She was the founder of the Center for Public Policy for Equity and Growth (Cippec), an institution where she created and directed the Health Policy area. Since 2013 she has been a professor of Development Policies at The Catholic University of America, in Washington DC.
