Uruguayan exports of goods reached USD 1.033 million, 4% below the same month last year, it was learned on Monday (03.04.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) with the release of the monthly report of the Uruguay XXI Institute.
The data indicate that the cumulative First quarter was USD 2.814 billion compared to USD 2.898 million in the same period in 2022. In this way, exports had a 3% drop year-on-year comparison of the period between January and March.
The decline was mainly driven by reductions in beef, wheat and soybeans, while rapeseed and carinata, cellulose and malt had a positive impact in the third month of the year.

Destinations
Regarding the main export destinations, China continued to be the first export destination. Purchases were for USD 177 million. It is followed by Brazil, ranking second with USD161 million.
