The Americas and Caribbean region is advancing in talks for joint work between customs and the private sector

The highest representatives of customs and the private sector in the Americas and the Caribbean region held talks on Thursday (18.08.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) seeking to materialize joint work, mainly in the area of ​​ethics and integrity, according to official sources.

The holder of the Regional Vice-Presidency of the World Customs Organization, Marylú Llerena Aybar, met virtually with the president of the Regional Private Sector Group, Alfonso Rojas, within the framework of an attempt to firmly advance a collaborative approach, to consolidate the culture of integrity, reported on the official Twitter account.

To this end, Alfonso Rojas pointed out his commitment to promote the implementation of "codes of ethics» in the regional private sector.

Regarding customs, Marylú Llerena raised the issue at the meeting that will include "actions en the regional strategic plan».

With this level of participation and leadership, common efforts are directed towards strengthening customs integrity and promoting trade facilitation in the Americas and the Caribbean region.
