Tax collection in April amounted to 1.341.595 million pesos, an increase of 64% year-on-year, thanks to the increase in resources from Social Security, Income Tax and VAT, according to the Ministry of Economy.
"This dynamic placed the level of income corresponding to the first four months of 2022 above that recorded in the same period of the previous year," 60,2% year-on-year, detailed the Treasury Palace.

Taxes that are more closely related to economic activity also contributed to explaining the growth in national tax collection.
