The new e-learning portal of the World Customs Organization (WCO) aims to help develop customs skills in trade professionals in a digital way.
The courses will cover the following topics:
1.Harmonized System
* Agriculture and food processing
*Chemicals
* Industry and construction
*Textile
*Art and jewelry
2.WCO data model
*Managers
*Interns
3.Customs valuation
*Concepts of valuation and transaction value
*Advanced valuation methods
According to the agency, more courses will be added in the coming months. Courses are available in English and French only, although more languages will be available in the future.
Students can take stand-alone or full courses which include access to online courses according to topics of interest, relevant publications and access to digital tools such as the Harmonized System Database.
