Therefore, we have reinforced the shifts to ensure operational continuity and implemented a contingency plan. Likewise, we are working hard to overcome the failure to normalize our service.”
In response to statements by some actors in the logistics chain, Arriaza said: "We understand the concern and we make a call for tranquility "We are working to ensure that foreign trade does not stop and we have fulfilled our promise in this regard, since the operations have been processed, although with a longer delay than usual. We will normalize the services as soon as possible."
In fact, the National Customs Service based the statements with Statistical data. Namely: from Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd, 46.817 DIN transactions were registered (imports) and 5.881 DUS (exports), corresponding to all the operations received. Compared to the same days last week, that is, November 13, 14 and 15, a similar operation is observed, since more than 45.029 DIN (imports) and 6.042 DUS (exports) were processed.
He also stressed that in the budget 2024 $4.500 billion is being earmarked for the IT development of the service. In addition, the entity announced the award of the tender for the migration to the cloud of the entire production platform, systems and databases.
According to the National Customs Service, this will begin to be implemented in the coming months. This improvement involves an investment of $1.800 billion.
