A las 10.30 am will present the Prof. Pablo Sebastian Borgna, Lawyer (UBA), Customs Law Specialist (PTN), Tort Law Specialist (UBA) and Assistant to the General Subdirectorate of Customs Legal Technician (AFIP DGA).
It will explain the regulatory tools currently available in the legal system and which of them could be used by Customs legal management to combat environmental damage that could occur due to imports.
In turn, at 14.30:XNUMX p.m. he will present the Lic. Maria De las Mercedes Ordonez, Graduate in International Trade, Head of the Customs Strategic Coordination Department (AFIP DGA), member of the “Green Customs” group (DGA).
Ms. María De las Mercedes Ordóñez will discuss the experience of the Argentine Customs in accordance with the guidelines of the World Customs Organization and its recent 2023 Action Plan regarding Green Customs. In this regard, the actions promoted, the strengthening of customs regulations and capacities illustrated through specific cases will be shared.
In this way, the meeting demonstrates the interest of the organizers in deepening actions that could be implemented from legal sources "from now on" and, on the other hand, raises the challenges and changes that the future poses for us in terms of environmental damage in a generalized way.
