The General Directorate of Customs, dependent on the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP), announces that it will provide its services at the 28th Contemporary Art Fair “arteBA.2019”, to be held between April 10 and 14 of this year. The information was published in the Official Gazette by resolution 3/2019.
The services will be provided on April 10th from 11 a.m. to 21 p.m. and from April 11th to 14th from 14.00 p.m. to 22.00 p.m. Meanwhile, the service will be provided at the office set up for this purpose in the Blue and Equine Pavilion of the La Rural premises, identified under the name AFIP-ADUANA.
Thus, from April 10 to 14, 2019, the 28th Contemporary Art Fair “arteBA.2019” will be held at the La Rural venue in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
“The significance of the event and the local and international dissemination of contemporary art make it a business center for Latin American art, enabling the expansion of this market,” the text states.
In this regard and in order to “maintain Latin American leadership as a business center for the art market compared to other foreign fairs,” the General Directorate of Customs authorized this measure, which aims to expedite the corresponding customs operational procedures.
"To this end, and in accordance with the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, through the National Directorate of Cultural Assets and Sites, the installation of an office of this General Directorate of Customs is promoted for the provision of on-site services regarding the pertinent authorizations regarding the import and export of the works exhibited at said fair," the text explains.
The regulations are signed by the Director General of Customs, Diego Jorge Dávila.
