Customs digitizes the deconsolidated import manifest for the waterway

-

The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) ordered  Electronic submission of the deconsolidated import manifest for the waterway, through General Resolution 4915/2021.

The measure, published this Thursday (28.01.2021) in the Official Gazette, represents a step forward in the depaperization of customs operations and allows for the streamlining of a key procedure that until now could only be carried out in person.

This is about the digitalization of the deconsolidated manifesto, called the “pink folder”.

The regulations stated that “The documentation provided in the “pink folder” is part of the file that transporters must present to receive cargo by water”.

He stressed that “the digital presentation of the procedure will be optional,” and estimated that “The depaperization of the procedure will speed up foreign trade processes.”

The regulation highlighted that “advances in the digitalization of customs procedures are carried out without affecting the inspection tasks carried out by the DGA.”

The provisions of the general resolution are of immediate effect and their application will be in accordance with the implementation schedule available on the “Customs Procedures Computer System” microsite on the website of this Federal Administration (https://www.afip.gob.ar).
