Customs applies reference values ​​for garlic exports

The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) determined the preventive reference value for different types of garlic, through the General Resolution 4969/2021.

In the regulation, published this Wednesday (21.04.2021), the reference values ​​for the export of different types of garlic, values ​​ranging from US$ 0,50 to US$ 1,84 per kilogram.

These prices will apply when such merchandise is destined for countries Canada, United States, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Democratic Republic of Korea, Republican Republic of Korea, China, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong.

"The measure is aimed at improving the selectivity system in terms of value, in order to detect deviations from the usual values ​​for identical or similar goods," the regulation states. In this way, any export declared below these prices can trigger an investigation by the DGA, the competent authority that regulates customs clearance.

The provisions of this Resolution shall apply from the date of April 22th 2021.
