The participation of Argentine companies in the APAS fair allowed some companies to advance agreements with the main supermarket in Brazil, Pão de Açúcar, after several months of negotiations and audits. It is expected that new products with Argentine brands will soon be added to the existing ones, such as dulce de leche, beer, wines from different provinces, candy and fruit.
The agro-industrial portfolio highlights that there was great interest and advanced contacts for the sale of packaged natural fruit juices, organic foods, sweets, olive oil, wines, raisins, cheeses and baked goods, among others.
Trade relations with Brazil in figures
In 2017, Argentina exported food to this destination for 1.700 billion dollars. In turn, in 2017, Brazil was the main destination for our edible fruits with 17% of the amount exported, followed in importance by the United States (16%), Russia (12%) and Spain (10%).
