Customs implements AEO Pilot Plan for RAF users

In Argentina, the implementation of the new pilot project of the “Authorized Economic Operator Program” is being promoted for users of the Factory Customs Regime, which is intended for those who need to import consumer products or exportable goods with added value.

The measure provided through the General Resolution 4197-E, published this Tuesday (30.01.2018) in the Official Gazette, seeks to improve and speed up trade through Customs.

According to the standard, the The term of the OAS Pilot Plan will be one year from the date of notification to the operator through the Electronic Communication and Notification System (SICNEA).

Once the OEA Pilot Plan is completed, the RAF user will be granted the categorization at Level “A” - Full Authorized Economic Operator– of the “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) Program.

It should be noted that the OEA program is intended to provide global accreditation to test compliance with certain measures related to security and good practices in the international supply chain of goods, in line with the guidelines of the World Customs Organization.
