The Executive Director of Customs Fausto Cálix received this Monday (04.11.2023), the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Central American Customs Committee for Honduras 2024 and will lead, with the support of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), the work of the body, made up of the Customs Directors of the region.
The Pro Tempore Presidency was headed by the Director General of Customs of El Salvador, Benjamín Mayorga, in the last semester of 2023, following the order of rotation established in the respective regulations of the Central American Integration System.
During the period in which Honduras will hold the Pro Tempore Presidency, the Executive Director of Customs will continue projects that have been worked on by the Central American Customs Committee.
“Rest assured of our commitment and willingness to come even closer as brothers and sisters of Central America, to coordinate actions in favor of improving customs processes and to advance on pending issues to increase the competitiveness of our region,” said the Honduran official.
