Guatemala and Honduras resume access to the Agua Caliente Integrated Border Post

-

Following the improvement of the road infrastructure, the Honduran Customs Administration and the Guatemalan Tax Administration Superintendency (SAT-G) announced the reopening of the crossing to the Agua Caliente Integrated Border Post, Starting December 9th at 12am

From that date, Heavy and light cargo land transporters will be able to safely travel to the Agua Caliente Integrated Border Post via the Bailey-type modular crossing bridge, installed at kilometer 234 of the CA-10 highway under the jurisdiction of Honduras.

It should be noted that access to this integrated border post, located between Guatemala and Honduras, was temporarily suspended on September 20 after the meeting of authorities from both countries held to begin work on installing the Bailey Bridge in this area and to resolve the significant damage caused by Tropical Storm Eta and Hurricane Iota, which caused disruptions to mobility and logistics.
