Within the framework of the dissemination of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program as an instrument for improving the security of the logistics chain, promoting trade facilitation, and integration into regional and global markets, the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) and the Argentine Federation of Business Entities of Cargo Transportation (FADEEAC) held a training workshop on Thursday (22.06.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX).

Certifications Level «OEA Security»

But the strengthening of the AEO figure between the public and private sectors was not the only good news of the day. It should be noted that the OAS figure provides a series of operational and commercial advantages, provides greater competitiveness to national production, contributes to ensuring logistics, strengthening trade relations between countries and the security of the international supply chain in foreign trade operations. Currently, Argentina has 79 OAS agreements: 25 for compliance, 42 for simplification and 11 for security.

One of the key features of this program is that it provides the possibility for customs administrations to sign Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs). These agreements have a number of benefits Very important for operators: international approval of the logistics chain, recognition as a low-risk commercial operator, greater economic efficiency by reducing customs control times and costs, and priority in inspections.

In this regard, the General Directorate of Customs stated that it has been working to achieve the effective implementation of the Agreements signed to date.
