Exports between countries of the Andean Community grew by 20,5%

Exports between the countries of the Andean Community (CAN) reached 8.203 billion dollars from January to November 2018, an increase of 20,5% compared to the same period of the previous year, the regional organization reported on Tuesday.

«In the period January-November 2018, exports between the four countries that make up the Andean Community: Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru reached 8.203 billion dollars, 20,5% higher than the figure recorded in the same period in 2017», the CAN said in a statement.

According to figures from the Statistics Department of the General Secretariat of the CAN, Bolivia had intra-community exports totalling 931 million dollars, Colombia 2.908 million, Ecuador 2.285 million and Peru 2.079 million.

The country that registered the greatest growth in its intra-community exports was Bolivia with 38,3% more than the period January - November 2017, followed by Ecuador with 22,4%, Colombia with 21,9% and Peru with 10,4%.

Likewise, the CAN assured that the exports of its member countries to the rest of the world reached a total of 109.503 million dollars between January and November 2018, which is equivalent to a growth of 13,5
