The national government has established a 100% discount on the tariff for ships, barges and tugboats that provide services between the Port of Buenos Aires and Bolivia or Paraguay.
This is established by the Resolution 40 / 2019 of the General Port Administration (AGP) published this Thursday (21.3.2019) in the Official Gazette where it is indicated that the purpose of the rate value is to promote the river transport mode to the Port of Buenos Aires that implies lower logistics costs, affecting the competitiveness of the transported goods and the operating companies.
The measure comes into effect on March 22 to December 31, 2019.
