The national government suspended beef exports for 15 days, a decision confirmed this Tuesday (15.08.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) by the General Directorate of Customs.
The measure was taken at the waiting for a price agreement, official sources clarified.
Beef is the food with the greatest weight in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded by INDEC.
The official dollar rose 22% to 350 pesos, which boosted the price of several consumer items that make up the basic food basket.
"Without an agreement, there will be no export permits," the same source said.
