The Government modifies the Export Duty on certain agro-industrial products

The national Government decided to modify the scheme of export duty rates for certain tariff items of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM), corresponding to the agroindustrial sector.

This is established by Decree 462/2023, published this Thursday (07.09.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, which puts into effect today such a measure to "promote sales to foreign markets, improve the income level of producers and processors, as well as their interaction network, strengthen the roots and permanence of the rural population in each region of our country, in addition to promoting the improvement of the quality of the products, the product selection to be included in this measure.”

The rule explains that the decision has "the purpose of promoting the development and incentive of production and national value aggregation and exports of the chains productive with greater territorial presence and potential for job creation, it becomes necessary to modify the Export Duty rate scheme for certain tariff items of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur, corresponding to the agro-industrial sector."

Thus, 350 tariff items approximately, which are listed in the annex of the decree released by the Government, and which belong to various agro-industrial sectors, have new rates as of today.
