In the search for efficiency by public bodies involved in border control, the National Government established an Operating Regulation for the Coordination of International Border Crossings, through the Resolution 482 / 2020.
The regulations of the Ministry of Security, published this Wednesday (23.12.2020) in the Official Gazette, determines the ordinance to which the Border Coordination Authorities must submit and its scope of application are the 158 International Border Crossings in which they have responsibilities and exercise their functions.
The new regulation implements rules and procedures; besides, establishes concepts that allow for the organization of all internal procedures of the National Directorate of Border and Waterway Control with the Border Directorate of the National Gendarmerie and with the Directorate of Operations - Border Crossings Department - of the Argentine National Prefecture.
It also establishes that International Border Crossings and Border Complexes will be the units for incorporating statistical information or collecting documentary information that make up the Argentine Border Information System (SIFA).
The provisions of this Resolution shall enter into force immediately.
