On Wednesday (14.07.2022) the Minister of Productive Development, Daniel Scioli, discussed with the Minister of Economy of Brazil, Paulo Guedes, a possible compensation structure for bilateral commercial operations with local currency, the ministry reported in a statement.
In a virtual meeting via videoconference, Scioli proposed a mechanism that allows for the deferral of the terms of compensations made in local currency and, thus, avoid the current situation of foreign currency outflow.
Furthermore, Scioli ratified Argentina's position regarding the ACommon External Trade, days before a new meeting of Mercosur presidents, which will take place on July 21 in Paraguay.
On the other hand, Scioli - together with the governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordet, and the head of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), Daniel Funes de Rioja - will travel to Brazil on Thursday on a trade mission to strengthen productive integration between both countries, promote the development of regional economies and promote exports of Entre Ríos SMEs.
Within this framework, a meeting will be held between the industrial leaders of Argentina and Brazil. The trade mission to Brazil plans to hold meetings with businessmen from various sectors, commercial representatives and officials. (Press release from the Ministry of Productive Development)
