The launch of the Export Increase Program boosted a significant increase in cereal and oilseed exports throughout the first week of September, the General Directorate of Customs reported on Monday (12.09.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX).
From the analysis of the Soybean export operations at San Lorenzo Customs —whose jurisdiction covers the country's agricultural export hub and concentrates most of the marketing of cereals and oilseeds—, the statement detailed that in the week prior to the economic measures a total of 4.860 had entered trucks. While between September 5 and 10 —the first week of Decree 576/2022's validity— an entry of 8.873 trucks was recorded, which implies "an increase of more than 80%."
As regards the export applications, The volume doubled from 140 to 290.
Regarding the documented quantities, in tonnes, increased by almost 80%, going from 715.467,23 t to 1.269.551,45 t.
Finally, the statement noted that there was a 30% increase in requests for staff qualification in overtime.
