Panama thanks Uruguay for customs technical cooperation

El Ambassador of Panama in Uruguay, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, thanked the General Directorate of Customs for its technical cooperation in the process of transfer of some modules of the "“Lucia” system, following the virtual meeting between the administrations held on August 23.

In a Letter addressed to the head of Customs, Jaime BorginaniThe diplomat pointed out that "The objective of the meeting between both institutions was to reaffirm Panama's intention to carry out a process of receiving quality technical cooperation for some of the modules of the Lucía System and to learn about the main technical details, implementation costs, software copyrights, required licenses, among other things."

He also stressed that "the Panamanian Customs Authority will initiate the relevant actions with a view to making this project a reality, which once it is completed will be channeled through formal cooperation channels."

Carlos Aguilar Navarro reiterated his gratitude for the customs cooperation and the provision for the exchange of good practices in the matter.
