New Regulations for Judges' Affidavits Approved

The College of the Judiciary modified the deadlines for the presentation of the Comprehensive Asset Declarations of the Comprehensive Asset Declarations of the Magistrates and Officials of the Lower Courts of the Nation, and of the members and officials of the Council of the Judiciary and the Jury of Impeachment of the Nation, through Resolution 192 / 2018.

According to the new provision, published this Tuesday (15.5.2018) in the Official Gazette, it establishes in its Article 4 that "Obligated subjects must submit the Comprehensive Asset Declaration within thirty (30) judicial business days following the date of assumption of office and cessation of functions and, Annually, within twenty (20) business days after the last due date for the presentation of the Income Tax and Personal Property Tax Affidavit established by the Federal Public Revenue Administration.. By submitting the Comprehensive Income Asset Declaration, the appointed judge or official will be exempt from submitting his declaration corresponding to the annual update of that year.".

The new resolution approving the change in the Regulations for the presentation and consultation of comprehensive sworn asset declarations of judges and officials of the Judicial Branch of the Nation, bears the signature of Miguel Piedecasas.
