Chinese customs seized 7,1 million items suspected of infringing intellectual property rights in the first half of 2018 as the country steps up protection of intellectual property rights, official data showed.

Of the total products, around 6,9 million were seized due to cases related to trademark violations, which protect the trademark rights of more than 2.200 Chinese and foreign companies, indicated the General Customs Administration (AGA).
