Changes to the non-automatic licensing regime

The Argentine Government has determined modifications to the regime for processing automatic and non-automatic import licenses for goods included in all tariff items of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur, through the Resolution 102 / 2021.

The regulations of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and Foreign Trade Management of the Ministry of Productive Development published today (31.03.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX), carried out a Amendment to Resolution 523/2017, specifically regarding Article 4.

According to the recitals of the new Resolution, “It is necessary to harmonize the regime established in Resolution No. 523/17 of the former Secretariat of Commerce and its amendments, with the rest of the import regimes that provide for the submission of Affidavits for the marketing of certain goods; and that in accordance with the operation of the exchange of information with the administrator in the course of the procedures for the submitted declarations, establish the calculation of the term provided for in Article 4 of Resolution No. 523/17 of the former Secretariat of Commerce from the officialization of the same, corresponding to make the pertinent adjustments in the normative text, in a clear and precise manner."

Thus, the following has been arranged:

Article 1.- Article 4 of Resolution No. 523 dated July 5, 2017 of the former Secretariat of Commerce of the former Ministry of Production and its amendments shall be replaced by the following:

Article 4.- In the event that the requirements provided for in the preceding article are not duly fulfilled within ten (10) business days of the import license application being made official, the procedure will be automatically cancelled and its status will be reflected in the System as “Cancellation Art. 4”.

Likewise, technical aspects have been replaced of Annex IV of the previous Resolution 523/2017.

The provisions of this Resolution shall enter into force Effective from April 1, 2021.
