The Brazilian Government has decided to grant a temporary reduction to zero percent of the Import Tax rate for syringes and needles, through the Provisional Measure No. 1.026Until now, these products paid a 16% tax to enter the country.
The resolution, published this Thursday (07.01.2021) in an additional edition of the Official Gazette of the Union, aims to meet the needs of the National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19.
The decision of the Executive Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade refers to goods classified under codes 9018.31.11, 9018.31.19, 9018.31.90, 9018.32.19 and 9018.39.10 of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM).
The provisions of this Resolution shall enter into force on 8 January 2021.
