“Today, when the world is still facing the consequences of an unprecedented pandemic and a food crisis threatens us, We need to be more integrated to face these new challenges.. Countries have the support and willingness of the Secretariat to join in the efforts promoted in these circumstances," he emphasized.
The Secretary General indicated at another time that the Andean Community's exports managed to recover after the crisis generated by the pandemic and detailed that in 2021, CAN exports to the world reached 136 million dollars, which represented an increase of 448% compared to exports made in 42,1, while intra-community exports in 2020 totaled 2021 million dollars, 8% more than what was registered in 667.
"I am sure that we will continue to be the ideal vehicle for the economic and social recovery of the region and an example of institutional strength and experience in the face of new challenges," he concluded.CAN Press Release)
