The work of the meeting of the Central American Customs Committee began this Tuesday (24.08.2021/2021/XNUMX) in order to approve the calendar for the second half of XNUMX, within the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Central American Integration System (SICA) held by Guatemala, led by the Customs Superintendent, Werner Ovalle.
In addition, the meeting will address the review of the reports of the Technical Risk Group, the Technical Regulatory-Information Technology Group and the Review Commission of the Central American Uniform Customs Code (CAUCA) and its Regulations (RECAUCA), according to information from the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration.
With the participation of the General Directors of Customs of the Region and the new Secretary of SIECA, Francisco A. Lima Mena, it is expected that the meeting will adopt actions to follow up on the regional agenda in the year of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Central America.
It is worth mentioning that last June, Guatemala received from Costa Rica the Pro Tempore Presidency of the SICA Executive Committee for the second half of 2021.
