Argentina and Chile agreed on a health agenda to strengthen trade in products

Argentina and Chile made progress in signing an agreement to carry out a common health agenda, as reported this Thursday (27.04.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) by Senasa.

The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa), Rodolfo Acerbi, and the Director of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), Andrea Collao, after a day of work with their technical teams in Mendoza.

In this regard, prior to the agreement, it was addressed the status of avian influenza in the region and trade in poultry and plant productss, among other topics, in order to strengthen cooperation and communication between both countries.

Senasa said that the work teams of each institution evaluated the implementation of health programswith the aim of advancing the export of poultry products and strengthening bilateral trade in bovine genetics, lemons and cherries, among other products.

“We have had a very productive and necessary day with the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile. As neighboring countries, we set out to advance in strengthen the integration between SAG and Senasa,” said Acerbi.

Furthermore, the Vice President of Senasa said that "both Chile and Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay are neighbors of Argentina with a very important commercial exchange, which strengthens the position of the entire region. Between both countries we have a historical neighborly transit. The idea of ​​this event was the common good, in cooperation and trade, to strengthen a mutual thematic agenda."
