The decision will allow all imports destined for the Argentine scientific and technological system channeled through the Registry of Scientific and Technological Organizations and Entities (ROECyT), which certifies that a certain purchase is intended for scientific and technological activities, to be carried out through door-to-door service, with no limit on amount or weight.
Until now, door-to-door imports were only allowed for equipment and supplies for scientific research with a maximum value of 3000 dollars and a maximum weight of 50 kilos.
During the meeting, the Minister Salvarezza He stressed: “The national government is aware of the efforts made by our scientific community to promote the well-being and development of the country. The measure agreed between the ministry, the AFIP and the Customs will result in a significant simplification of all the activities carried out on a daily basis by our scientists.".
