The national government is implementing a computer tool called “Company Product Catalogue”, aimed at the automotive sector in a first stage.
This is established by the General Resolution 4353/2018 published this Tuesday (11.12.2018) in the Official Gazette.
The purpose of the measure is to incorporate tools that contain accurate information about the goods., in order to optimize competitiveness and facilitate foreign trade, as well as the application of control and oversight of the Federal Public Revenue Administration in customs matters.
The tool will help combat fraud and counterfeiting of brands through the anticipation, tracking and location of goods. It will also help to incorporate the semantics of the commercial language with which goods are identified in the domestic market, increasing the quality of the information offered by the Harmonized System of Designation and Coding of Goods at the International Level, says the regulation.
What will the tool be applied to?
The tool will be applicable, in its first stage, to the following:
* Import destinations through which merchandise is nationalized or temporarily entered into the general, special customs territory or free zones.
*The temporary importation of goods intended to receive industrial improvement, with the obligation to export them for consumption in other countries under the resulting new forms.
* Sales invoices to the domestic market of products that were imported for consumption.
How is the data structured?
The minimum data structure that the “Company Product Catalog” must contain will be composed of:
* The MALVINA Computer System Position (SIM) assigned by the declarant.
* The product code or part number of the same.
* The origin and brief description of the merchandise.
This structure is available on the “Company Products Catalog” microsite of the AFIP website.
