The Ministry of International Relations, Foreign Trade and Worship published this Tuesday (23.07.2024) the decisions regarding the new MERCOSUR Origin Regime, which come into force under the framework of Law 24.080 on publications in the Official Gazette of acts and events related to international treaties or conventions in which the Argentine Nation is a party.
These are provisions that do not require legislative approval within the framework of the Agreement registered in ALADI as the Economic Complementation Agreement No. 18 signed between Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. (AAP.CE/18.219) – Two Hundred and Nineteenth Additional Protocol, held in Montevideo, October 2, 2023, and in force since July 18 2024.
The agreement annexes the following texts:
- CMC Decision No. 5/23 (218 PA – ACE 18) – establishes the new MERCOSUR Origin Regime.
- CMC Decision No. 6/23 (219 PA – ACE 18) – extends Differentiated Treatment.
Accordingly, through this formal act of the State the aforementioned MERCOSUR regulations are incorporated into the internal law of the Argentine Republic.
