The Foreign Ministries of Chile and Argentina signed on Monday (30.7.2018) the constitution of the Binational Interministerial Commission for Monitoring the Commitments Assumed by Both Countries in the Area of Border facilitation and infrastructure, holding this mechanism for the first time.
The signing was carried out by the Secretary General for Foreign Policy of Chile, Ambassador Patricio Torres, and the Undersecretary for American Affairs of Argentina, Ambassador Leopoldo Sahores.
The signing of the agreement complies with the provisions of the Joint Presidential Communiqué issued within the framework of the Official Visit made by President Sebastián Piñera to the Argentine Republic, last April 2018.
