Green Agenda: Argentine Customs delivers more than 500 m³ of paper to the Garrahan Foundation

Within the framework of his Green Customs program, The General Directorate of Customs delivered more than 500 m3 in paper reels to the Garrahan Foundation —It is worth mentioning that since 2004 it is a recycling agreement is in force between it and the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP).

The economic resources generated by the Foundation's Recycling and Environment Program help finance the Garrahan Hospital, a reference pediatric health center in Argentina.

The actions of the Customs respond to the directives of the World Customs Organization (WCO), whose strategic plan 2022-2025 adopted the green agenda as one of its central points.

For the exorbitant volume of the merchandise in question, the transfer of the 505 industrial size coils had to be carried out over several days. With the delivery, which was carried out under the terms established by the Law 25.603, it is sought that the Goods seized for international trade offences are returned to society in a beneficial manner, integrating a virtuous cycle.

Likewise, Customs highlighted that "it has launched the Commission for Sustainable Management of Sequestration Depots, "aimed at emptying the spaces in which the merchandise seized by the agency is housed." The aforementioned commission intervened in the delivery of more than 500 rolls of paper, which were in a warehouse located in the Province of Buenos Aires.
